Our Leadership Framework
​
Our Board of Directors comprises distinguished members holding key positions: the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Member at Large, and the immediate Past President. Each officer brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to the cause, playing a critical role in the governance and oversight of VALEAC.

Election and Tenure
​
In keeping with our governance structure, the Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer are elected by the Board itself. Their terms are meticulously set to begin on January 1, with a duration that extends either three years from the start of their term or until the beginning of their successor's term, whichever is later. This ensures continuity and stability in our leadership.
A unique aspect of our Board is the automatic transition of the Vice President to the position of President after completing their term. This progression underlines our commitment to leadership development and seamless transition within the organization. It is only in the rare event of both the Vice President and President positions being vacated simultaneously that an election for the President's role is necessitated.
